The first time I saw a 3D animated Pixar movie was at a friend's house. She insisted that I watch Monsters Inc, and I indeed adored seeing big Sulley for the first time, walking around with all that blue fur...and the unforgettable message in the movie about conquering fear. I don't know if Joann knew that day the future impact of the "smart missile" she dropped into my spirit, but it has been "fire in the hole" ever since...haha. That was 11 years ago, and I wish she could be here to see the results of her influence on my life, but she passed in fall of 2007. I'd like this post to be in her memory, and to show that today I finally created a walking, furry character, a dream from 2003 come true. Thank you Joann for being such a comedian...you always made me laugh, and now every day I try to pass it on to others. Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Hebrews 11:1 A cheerful heart is good medicine . . . Proverbs 17:22 If you enjoy studying history, with a touch of humor, then you'll love Dave Stotts in his Drive-Thru History videos. I especially enjoy the Holy Land series. All are available for viewing online at this link: DRIVE-THRU HISTORY on iTBN.
I recently created this 3D caricature of Spock giving the "Vulcan salute" when I learned that Leonard Nimoy originally introduced the idea for the Trek series, based on the hand gestures used during the priestly blessing, the symbol representing the blessing and shalom of the Presence and name of Yaweh, or Yehovah. No wonder both Nimoy and Trek has lived long and prospered :D Michael O'Brien singing re-writes of songs by Elton John, Billy Joel, James Taylor, Michael McDonald, and others. Many traditional hymns were put to the tune of bar songs of the day, so these would be modern day hymns :)
This brief animation that someone created in Blender would be a great sermon illustration for the difference between power and true authority. When getting results, the little mouse immediately looked to what he thought was power in his own finger, unable to see the big picture of how circumstances were graced in his favor by authority. See the video below by John Paul Jackson for an excellent explanation of the difference between the two.
John Paul Jackson describes effectively the difference between spiritual power, which is the visible manifestation of dunamis, and spiritual authority, which manifests in our lives as a by-product of abiding, intimate relationship with God.

Amazing story of kids in South America living in severe poverty who created their instruments from garbage, diligently learned to play, began performing as a group, were discovered on YouTube, and now are doing concerts.
When the River of God becomes polluted by the church with religion, legalism, hidden sin, prejudice, politics or ambitious agendas, unbelievers hesitate to respond to the call of God because of the polluted message they have heard or observed. If the River appears to be polluted, follow it back to the Source in order to eventually find fresh, pure, Living Water. Our primary concern should always be not so much the pollution caused by the other sheep, but rather making sure that we have not contributed to it ourselves (Ezekiel 34).
The next time you feel like you can't serve GOD, just remember... Deci Connelly's emails of encouragement to a new believer eventually were compiled to produce an evangelistic book, "Letters from the Red". This TBN interview is an inspiring testimony of how simple obedience and faithfulness can open the door to fruitful, "passin' the salt" ministry.
Eddie's testimony certainly brought back some great memories for me; he spends sometimes as much as eight hours in worship at the keyboard, singing and weeping before the Lord. He was invited to perform at an orthodox Jewish synagogue, and not knowing any better, he thought he was supposed to share Jesus with them and, amazingly, at the end of the service everyone present came to the altar for salvation; the amusing story is shared during this interview with Sid Roth. May Eddie never be influenced by others to change or become sophisticated, his unashamed love for the Lord is a precious, child-like gift that brings a refreshing presence of the Holy Spirit. Global Mission finally has a YouTube channel.
Main channel page at this link: http://www.youtube.com/user/GlobalMissionStudio It is believed that Jesus was born in the area of Migdal Edar (Micah 4:8, Micah 5:2), mentioned in scripture as being called "tower of the flock", located a little north of Bethlehem. The watch tower provided safety for the shepherd's flocks, as well as a place for ewes to birth lambs that were for the purpose of temple sacrifice in Jerusalem (Edersheim, Life and Times of Jesus the Messiah). The newborn lambs were to be unblemished, so they were wrapped in swaddling cloths for protection. It was in the area of the temple flocks that Jesus, the Lamb of God, was born in one of the caves used as a stable, and was wrapped in swaddling cloths and placed in a manger (Luke 2:7), or feeding trough. It was fitting that the temple flock shepherds were the first to receive the announcement of His birth, as it was their job to protect the unblemished sacrificial lambs. Jesus' birth in a stable was a sign and fulfillment of an Old Testament messianic prophecy. ~ glorysong This has been one of my retirement hobbies. Click here to view prayer for victims of abuse and 3D render of crucifixion that hopefully will not be offensive, but is intended to illustrate how Jesus has already suffered the ultimate shame and the humiliation of abuse for us. He has already paid for our emotional, mental, spiritual and physical healing by taking upon Himself all of our sufferings. He understands feelings of abandonment and rejection. Through the shedding of His blood, we are able to exchange our life for His, and we are able to obtain healing for a broken, fearful heart. Click to view prayer for healing of abuse, and 3D crucifixion. ~glorysong 3D crucifixion animation created by the media team at New Creation Church in Singapore, requested by their Pastor, Joseph Prince, in order to show what happened in the spirit realm during Jesus' sacrifice. The animation begins at about 5:52 on the video slider, and ends at 9:41. They did a great job with this project. Below is an awesome brief video of how the heavens appeared at the time of Jesus' death on the cross. The heavens indeed declared and revealed the glory of God! |
